Meet Daisy: A Gentle German Shepherd Ready to Retire on Your Couch |
Daisy, about 6 years old, came to the Humane Society of Western Montana after her owner passed away. She loves car rides, tug-of-war and snuggles. |

Daisy is looking for a quiet place to land, and she’s ready to make someone very happy.
She’s a sweet, gentle German shepherd mix, about 6½ years old and 67 pounds, according to her Humane Society of Western Montana listing.
Daisy came to the shelter after her owner passed away and no one else was able to care for her.
Ready to retire and relax
HSWM says Daisy is in the stage of life where she’s ready to slow down.
She’s excellent at being home alone while her people are at work or running errands, which makes her a great fit for a busy household.
What Daisy loves
She knows her name and has a very good “sit.”
The right home for Daisy
Daisy has never lived with cats and has shown some chasing behavior that could be hard to manage in a home with them.
She also hasn’t spent much time with other dogs in recent years, so HSWM says she may be the perfect fit as an only pet.
In the shelter’s words, if you love relaxation, occasional hikes and lots of snuggle time, Daisy is your girl.
Why consider an older dog
Adult dogs like Daisy often come with their personalities already known, so you can see what you’re getting: in her case, a calm companion who’s happy on her own and happiest next to you.
